My Christmas presents to myself arrived from Amazon.com today: Firefly and Lost DVDs, Brokeback Mountain soundtrack.

The score is by Gustavo Santaolalla, who I actually admired before he started doing soundtracks. He was born in Argentina and he produced one of my favorite albums ever, Re by the Mexican band Cafe Tacuba. He was really big in the whole Latin Rock scene around the time I was most into that, mid-nineties.

But more importantly, RUFUS!

Yeah. My parents ended up giving us money instead of gifts this year, so we get exactly what we want and there are no worries about having gotten the wrong thing.
