Aw, what a gorgeous thing to wake up to! I love this, particularly:

Frodo can still feel the whip wheals, that slight sting at first, but there is no longer shame or even real pain, only comfort in the touch.

(Of course, "wheals" plural made me think F&A were into S&M, but that's a topic for another time.)
