Whee, a meme!

These are not all my WIPs, and I cheated on two of them because the first three sentences just wouldn't work, but these are most of them. They include some teasers for new chapters on fics I've posted parts of.
LotR
1. Not Yourself 11
Frodo stares up at the night sky, saddened but not really surprised at its emptiness. He has looked forward to this night and often dreamt of it, and he always imagined the sky would be much more beautiful than this. He hasn't been awake during the night for months, and even if he had, he wouldn't have seen more than patches of sky through the window grating of his cell.
2. Odd and Even Numbers: Four
The problem with going down on Frodo right now, Pippin decided, was that it would be difficult to keep an eye on his face. And seeing the look on Frodo's face when he woke up was, if not Pippin's only purpose, at least a major one. That was what made it important to do it now.

Frodo was waiting for him in the bedroom, on the bed. Naked, curled up on knees and elbows, so his bottom rested on his ankles, his head rested between his forearms, and in the candlelight Merry could count the vertebrae along the perfect arch of his back.
Resting, that was the word for it.
4. Torn from the Map, for the next [Bad username or site: hobbit_smut challenge @ livejournal.com] (I know, it looks like another M/P, but seriously, it's gonna be F/A.)
Pippin looked surprised, more than anything else, to have caught Rosie's flowers.
"This means," he said to Merry, "that we'll be the next ones to tie the knot. And that'll need to be pretty quick, considering Sam's sister is marrying Tom Cotton next month."
5. Untitled Monster Endless Post-Quest AU starring Frodo and Rosie
Rosie was cutting carrots and chatting with Marigold when the sudden, intense heat came over her, and her knees gave out, and a few seconds later she was embarrassed to find herself sitting on the floor of the Gamgees' kitchen. She didn't notice the blood or the pain until after she'd heard Mari screaming, watched her rush over to wrap Rosie's index finger in a dish towel. Mari looked terrified and Rosie could only feel distant, different, vaguely sensing that a part of her was missing that had nothing to do with her hand.
6. supersekrit AU
So sure of himself, is he. So proud he's done the right thing by his master. But it wasn't the right thing at all.
7. Lotrips AU (which will never be finished omg) set in late-1940s Berlin and Prague starring Elijah, Dom, and Liev
He hasn't seen Viggo or any other doctor in almost four months. It's his longest stretch out of hospital since before the end of the war, in fact. He'd wanted it to continue, liked feeling independent even if he wasn't actually whole.

It wasn't rape, Casey used to tell himself, staring out the car window as Zeke silently drove him home. Still told himself, afterwards, when he thought back on those times. After the aliens, when the shrink tried to bring it up, Casey had freaked out, walked away.
9. What Happened That Night (or it might get a better title someday)
The first person to find them is Stan. Zeke doesn't know how long it's been, feels like hours but it's probably more like ten minutes, lying on the floor with Casey and Stokes, wrung out, crying, bleeding. When Stan's there staring down at them Stokely starts shaking and even Zeke feels a thrill of panic again.

Would you like to see the first paragraph of the Pippin/Diamond songfic? I bet you would.
"You came without warning," she would say later, and Pippin frowned when first he heard it, said she shouldn't have been surprised to see him, or distressed, or frightened. She hadn't been any of those things though, not really. She'd dreamt that day enough times, by the time he arrived on her doorstep one July morning, she knew everything that was coming next. Still, the look of him, the sound of his voice, the realization that it was this day, and it was real, hit her like a blow to the stomach, left her speechless but still standing. "I was glad you came, don't think I wasn't!" she explained. "But you might have sent word."
