Ah, I'm glad to hear that. Others I have enjoyed (though I'm not as into them these days) are the New Yorker fiction podcast (famous author reads and discusses a short story by another famous author with fiction editor) and Radio Open Source (Brown prof interviewing smart people). To be honest the Slate ones are mostly upper-class white people from New York and DC talking about magazine articles they've written/read, and it can get kind of aggravating but, yeah, also entertaining in its way. I would say in particular for the Culture Gabfest it takes some time to get used to the main host's smugness and snobbishness, but the three regular panelists do have a really nice vibe with each other plus I really like it when they have June Thomas or Jody Rosen on as guests.
