So, in case claudia603, lilybaggins and I didn't make it clear enough in our comments here and here, yes, I am responsible for the mpreg ficlet “Not Here" (very kindly betaed and posted by Lily on her LJ last month), in which I more or less turned Frodo into a girl. *cough*

To those of you who read this and commented, many, many thanks.  It was a real thrill to get such nice feedback on such a very strange first fic and the whole experience has been very encouraging for me in continuing to write.

To those of you who haven't read this and are curious, please do read the warnings before you open it up.  It's, er, a bit graphic.  It would probably be a good idea to check out original grovel which inspired it as well.

To those of you who are shocked and appalled at the very idea and are now rushing to unfriend me, well, I guess that's your decision to make.  A few words to the more canon-minded people before we part ways forever:

It's not that I don't appreciate fanfic that’s respectful of Tolkien’s creation.   I like reading it, really I do.  F/S is my OTP, I swear!  I love the fluff and the angst and the vanilla and the canon!  (But I like the kink and the AU too.)  And if I ever thanked you for writing a story in which Frodo is portrayed as strong, intelligent, and brave, I really did mean it.  I just can’t seem to write any of it myself, and it’s silly to keep waiting and hoping that eventually I will, when I have trashy AU bunnies eating me alive.

Besides that, I've been befriended by some terrific people who enjoy the interspecies mpreg, and by hanging out with them in recent weeks I've gotten to enjoy it too.  I'm happy to get the chance to play with them.

Also, something else, which I should start posting in the next couple of days.

(btw, somehow I'm always on when you post to LJ (*twilight zone music*) and so that's why it seems like I always reply right away, lol.)

I glanced at your friends list, and while I don't recognize some of the names (who is this lilybaggins?? *snort*) even those I share on my flist that I know to be more canon oriented and F/S OTP oriented are amazingly tolerant of my wild diversions from canon. :-D This really is a nice bunch in our corner of fandom.

Wow, I don't think I've ever even read an F/S mpreg. It doesn't seem too likely that it's something I'll do, but then again I never would have thought I could write this one for Lily before I did it, so who knows.

They aren't all that common. If you ever do wish to read one, I would suggest gillianinoz's Many Aspects (http://www.lexicon.net/gillianm/Lord_of_the_Rings.htm), a favorite among many (even those who don't like mpreg in general).

Hey, thanks for reading, sweetie. Lily and I had a nice time with this one, e-mailing back and forth on revisions to, er, work out all the kinks, shall we say. The whole experience definitely made me want to write more. (I have something new up today, if you're interested.)

Oh my goodness! I had no IDEA that was YOU who wrote that mpreg fic for Lily! I never wrote any feedback on it since at the time it was written myself and my partner were going through a really rough time with her mother getting sick, but I was extremely impressed by it. I still cannot believe that was your first fic! It was just absolutely amazing. May I friend you?

Oh, thank you so much! Sometimes I can't believe that was my first fic, it was such a strange scenario to start out with. It's kind of nice, freeing really, to know I can write about something completely outrageous and there will probably be someone out there who'll share the kink. We should definitely friend, as i think we have a lot of common interests, at least as far as the situations we like to see Frodo and Elijah getting into.
