So, in case
claudia603,
lilybaggins and I didn't make it
clear enough in our comments here and here,
yes, I am responsible for the mpreg ficlet “Not Here" (very kindly betaed and
posted by Lily on her LJ last month), in which I more or less turned Frodo into
a girl. *cough*
To those of you who read this and commented, many, many thanks. It was a real thrill to get such nice
feedback on such a very strange first fic and the whole experience has been very encouraging for
me in continuing to write.
To those of you who haven't read this and are curious,
please do read the warnings before you open it up. It's, er, a bit graphic. It would probably be a good idea to check out
original grovel which inspired it as well.
To those of you who are shocked and appalled at the very
idea and are now rushing to unfriend me, well, I guess that's your decision to
make. A few words to the more
canon-minded people before we part ways forever:
It's not that I don't appreciate fanfic that’s
respectful of Tolkien’s creation. I
like reading it, really I do. F/S is my OTP, I swear! I love the fluff and the angst and the vanilla
and the canon! (But I like the kink and
the AU too.) And if I ever thanked you
for writing a story in which Frodo is portrayed as strong, intelligent, and
brave, I really did mean it. I just
can’t seem to write any of it myself, and it’s silly to keep waiting and hoping
that eventually I will, when I have trashy AU bunnies eating me alive.
Besides that, I've been befriended by
some terrific people
who enjoy the interspecies mpreg, and by hanging out with them in
recent weeks I've gotten to enjoy it too. I'm happy to get the
chance to play with
them.
Also, something else, which I should start posting in the
next couple of days.
Thank you.

(btw, somehow I'm always on when you post to LJ (*twilight zone music*) and so that's why it seems like I always reply right away, lol.)
I glanced at your friends list, and while I don't recognize some of the names (who is this

Thanks for your support, dear, and for keeping this under wraps until I was ready to say something.

You should really read all the other responses to that request of Lily's too (in all your spare time, lol). It was like a big speculum orgy for a couple weeks there.

No, I'm going to bed, need to be more prepared for work tomorrow than I was today, even if it *is* eight hours of mindless tedium. No more checking e-mail, no more refreshing friends list. See you tomorrow, dear.

Read the Grovel link. And my goodness, I've read <lj user="mariole"´s response to this I think. Yes, I remember quite well what that fic did to me. Heee, and I read that at work.

There are also sequels to Ancalime's contribution, and I think a couple other people might still be working on theirs. But Lily would have a better idea. You should go say hello to her. *pushes you*

I was trying to say I've already read one of the stories to this, Mariole's. And I loved it. But eh, reading at work was perhaps not the best place. *giggles*
Yes, yes yes. I'll go over. But not tonight. It's nearly midnight here and I really need to go and sleep. Thank you for the link.

Now you must write a sequel to Not Here, eh? ;D Or maybe a prequel . . . it could be a whole series, just think . . .

I myself am still waiting on the sequel that was proposed in comments to

Hmmm, maybe Mariole will grace us with more of her story, though she's said this is the last of it. Perhaps I can put the idea across when I meet her in July. :)

WOW!
I really hope you will continue writing. Mpreg or canon or whatever you feel you want to write down. Your other drabbles shows that you indeed have the gift for it.

That icon is adorable, by the way. Poor Frodo, the things we put him through!

Hihi, I knew I had to have that icon when I saw it. Don't we all just love to put Frodo through hard times.
