Free-for-all at camelot_fleet

Ha, [personal profile] glass_icarus put up the prompt collecting post at [community profile] camelot_fleet last week and I went to bed all angsty that night because it had only gotten two comments, but after a week we ended up with four pages of them, over 300 prompts. It was a lot of copying and pasting over the weekend omg, but I'm pleased with how the monster prompt list came out and hope a lot of people will end up actually doing something with them.

I don't know, I feel a little bit angsty about the part where we're requiring everybody to get a Dreamwidth account in order to post their finished work to the comm when in the past [community profile] camelot_fleet events have always been open to people using OpenID, but then on the other hand I think, eh, it is not really so much to ask that people get a Dreamwidth account in order to participate in a challenge at a Dreamwidth comm, and also I'm sick of fanworks being buried in comments so I don't really feel like backing down. (Wow, that was not a very elegant sentence.) What do you think?

Weirdly enough (for me), I'm feeling more inspired by some of the Arthur/Merlin prompts on the list than the rarepair ones. It's funny when you look at prompts to do with a female character who appeared in one scene of one episode and think, "Eh, I've written her twice before, I ought to do some Arthur/Merlin for a change," but that is how I'm feeling. :D But then I have these other unfinished fics including two just barely started thingies for [livejournal.com profile] kinkelot that really shouldn't be that hard to do, so I feel like I should make myself finish those before I start in on something new.

I'm also thinking about trying out podficcing for the first time, and maybe for the second time too since I can't quite decide which one I want to do. I had thought that I would not try to do podfic in a British fandom because I'd have accent anxiety, but there are requests, and they are tempting.

What about you? Got your eye on any prompts? Started writing or drawing or planning yet? (Wish I'd go back to talking about a fandom you're actually interested in?)
