That's something I was thinking about too, that it would really help things go smoothly if people posted with a really specific idea of the kind of feedback they'd like to receive, maybe even at the end of the fic put in notes saying, this is what I was trying to communicate and asking if she got it across.

I think doing it invite only would tend to limit it to too few people and maybe too narrow a conception of what "good writing" is, you know what I mean? It would be more fun if we could have diverse opinions and be more open. And on the other hand, gah, crazy difficult to do that and also keep things courteous. *frightened*
