And just as a little note for those of you who are less excited about the Pippin fics, I wanted to let you know that I'm planning on writing Frodo/Aragorn for the next hobbit_smut challenge. Don't give up on me, Interspecies fans!

Pippin does nothing for me and the idea of him having sex just plain squicks me. Billy Boyd is a sweet and lovely man and I am sure these are well written but my brain just will not go there : (

Oh, I totally understand. I'm the same way with some other pairings, although I've gotten sluttier as I keep reading. I'm trying to keep a variety in what I write both so that I don't get stuck in a rut and so that my readers don't cry. :)

I don't read much Pippin stories either. But I love him with all my heart. With limited time to read I go for my "OTPS" first and only if I have the time or happen to stumble over something outside my OTP at the right time do I read those stories too. Because I do like those stories too but you know... the time to read or the mood to read is not always there.

When we first met I didn't even know you wrote. Now I think of you as a really really good writer. Just remember to write for yourself first sweetie. And not to please us readers. *hugses*

You know, different strategies and motivations work for different people. For me it's hard to finish something or have direction if I'm writing only for myself, but I'm finding that I tend to have good results when I'm writing for myself and for one other person, like when I write Pippin fic for Dana or F/A for Claudia. That way I don't fret as much about how many people are watching but I do get that really nice feeling of knowing that the one person liked it.
