Hey guys, podficbigbang is starting up another round and this year they're mirroring it as podficbigbang here on Dreamwidth! I made three podfics for that fest last year, including probably the most popular one I've made, and I got to work with both Yues as cover artists and it was generally great!

Signups are open now and final drafts aren't due until May 25th. They are also looking for cheerleader/betas, visual artists, and people who can do other types of complements and collaborations like adding music or sound effects or making vid-type trailers. The minimum podfic length is still 1 hour (about 10K words of text) but I'm hoping to do something bigger this year - we'll see! Who else is gonnna play?

Possibly. I haven't done a formal BB challenge before but I'm totally capable of recording something long:)

I'm so impressed with the super long stuff you put out. I haven't done anything more than an hour and 45 minutes or so, but I know I could with a little willpower.

Totally signing up for this big bang this year. I love long fic and I've been dying to record some. This seems like the perfect time to do so. And have a community of people who can give me pointers. 'Cause I know I'll need them.

I have a few ideas but nothing sure yet. I need to go back through my long fic recs and see if one or two really call to me. I'm hoping to do something between 15-40 thousand words. Still not willing to take the plung into ultra long podfic. Not yet. I'd rather do what you did last year and make a few longer podfics and book the hours that way.

My problem is I don't actually even read a lot of long fics, especially not more than 15K or so. We will see how it goes but um, you will not be shocked to read that I have my eye on a certain 125K AU.

I may be avoiding one long fic in particular. *whistles innocently*
