I signed up for hc_bingo and got my card! I will keep links to the things I make (and eventually post banners and such if I get any) in this post.

I think there's a nice amount of variety in this, and none of it really seems impossible. I am pleased to have old favorites cages, false imprisonment, infected wounds, and tentacles. And slavefic is one of my favorite things to read but I don't think I've ever finished writing one. (I might just go the easy route there though and make another Eagle podfic!). I'm not sure what "family" or "unexpected consequences of planned soulbonding" mean, but maybe I can find out by digging around the comm some more.

It's funny to look at these and then have to remind myself not to go to porn. I've had cages and tentacles on my kink_bingo cards before and tend to throw asphyxiation into my porn sometimes (I've twice forgotten to warn for it at the Merlin kink meme, even though I've only written like six fics over there). But I have not given as much thought to taking care of someone after they've had a tentacle down their throat and choking off their air, for example.

Suggestions for scenarios to write, fics to podfic, etc. for those or other squares are most welcome!

The fact that they specify that it's planned soulbonding too, like you couldn't have the work be about unexpected consequences of destiny or forced soulbonding, only if it's planned!

I don't know if I can see slave fic and not want to make it kinky instead of h/c.

Though my biggest problem with h/c is that I want to turn all the prompts into epics or into short kinky fics.

The bingo format really worked for me with kink_bingo, not so much with podfic_bingo. It's hard to know! But there aren't really any risks in signing up.

I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. Like you said, the worse that can happen is that nothing gets written. Thanks for the little extra nudge in that direction!

Oooooh. I had never thought of that too! There's also the possibility of the comfort being given by the tentacles, too - helping them out of The Swamp Of Sadness, or reaching the back of one's throat (or other orifices...) to apply soothing balm/ooze. So many new possibilities!

For "unexpected consequences of planned soulbonding", I can think or a few fanworks that has that - there's that one Arthur/Merlin fic where Merlin explicitly spells himself bound to Arthur so that he'll share in his injuries during a tournament, and, well, gets his share of the injuries. Later they discover that other sensations bleed through the bound and they have nice sensation play sex. I can hunt this particular story down for you, but mostly maybe you have an idea of the trope now? I think it'd also apply to things like Astolat's Chaos War fic, where Loki puts a binding collar on Thor but doesn't sort of "complete it", and then after learning that if the bindind is complete they could fight for each other/hear the other's thoughts/various things, Thor voluntarily finishes the binding - except now there's baggage that also goes with those new sharing powers, including a fierce desire to have tons of sex. It appears it might be a more common trope than we could think at first sight! XD

I love how simple and humble "hug" looks in that corner, surrounded by all those angsty things.
