a dream

So I had this dream last night that Billy Boyd won an Oscar for some film I had not heard of. The ceremony didn't look much like the Oscars at all, and that was fine. Elijah announced it and Billy was already standing right next to him on the stage and they both looked so happy and proud. At first I think I was watching on TV but for most of the dream I was there in the auditorium, which was pretty large but also kept morphing, as dream auditoriums do, and most of the time looked more like my high school theater than anything else. (Other parts of the dream, which I won't go into, took place in the hallways of a high school.) There were a couple little scenes and sketches with three or four hobbit actors and sometimes with Orlando, a lot of humor and mugging for the cameras (I think at one point Dom was pretending to be Orlando, he had this puffy wig and was swinging his hips and we were all laughing) and also a lot of real affection, and that was all very pleasant.

I was sitting next to my mom in the audience and thinking about how much excitement (and probably fic) there would be on LJ later, and I said, "This means new canon," but I couldn't explain to my mom what this meant because she doesn't know about slash and I don't want her to.

I woke up, thought about what a strange dream that had been, fell back asleep, and some time later I was sitting next to Elijah in the audience and we were holding hands and smiling, almost giggling at how nice that was. I remember thinking that since it was just a dream I might as well go ahead and kiss him, but I was still a little bit shy and the handholding really nice so I just stuck to that.

Something went very wrong though and for some reason we all got trapped in this auditorium, it felt like a few hours, though I'm sure the dream didn't last that long. The police were at the doors and I think they were threatening to storm the place and we were protesting that we hadn't done anything wrong. There was a dead body on the floor, covered with a coat or a blanket, but the police seemed to be more upset that a few people in the audience were smoking. I saw Sean Astin, looking very scruffy and holding a baby and smoking, and I went over and yelled at him in front of everybody. He put out the cigarette and then I heard some people whispering it was not a normal cigarette but some other kind of drug and I was pretty angry and also worried about the police at the door.

I don't remember what happened after that.

My goodness, what a strange dream! But if you have to be trapped anywhere with anyone, hobbits (or the actors who play them) would be the most fun. :D

Yes! Unfortunately I don't think I got back together with Elijah after whatever happened. I must have woken up pretty soon after that (and immediately went for my notebook!).

I agree with Janet. Very strange dream, but at least you got to hold hands with Elijah.

It definitely had its good parts. And even yelling at Sean felt kinda good, if you know what I mean.

Eeee, I'd love to see Billy win an Oscar and Dom wearing a puffy wig and imitating Orlando. In fact I want video of both!

The weird thing is (heh, the weird thing?) I don't think it was really Dom so much as "a hobbit actor". Like I was watching him and he was making fun of Orlando and that was awesome, but I don't think he actually looked or sounded like Dom, or Elijah or Billy.

Dreams are puzzling omg.
