Sign-ups are open at a_conspiracy, the hobbit fic remix community! danachan and I hope many of you will join in. After you get your assignment you have another two months to write the fic, so it should not be too much of a stress. Please comment or e-mail if you have any questions.

i actually totally want to do this. i had so much fun doing the secret santa and love that the lotR community is still alive and kicking.

...but my lotR fics suck. and i think people'd be bummed to get me! or maybe they'd be all, oh man. this sucks. i can make it better. lemme fix it. what do you think?

You know, we gave less in the way of requirements than most remix-type challenges because we're really interested in having more people participate, even if they haven't written a ton in this fandom. I love your LotR fics and personally I think I would have a ball remixing one of yours, and I'm not the only one.

This is not like some giant challenge where you get matched up with some stranger. We hobbit fans take care of each other omg.

Open till May 14th, which I think is a Sunday. Maybe you'll be feeling better about things by this weekend? We're only saying 500 for a minimum word count and you're likely to get paired up with someone whose writing you enjoy. Just saying. :D
