SGA and knitting

I started watching Stargate: Atlantis last night and I like it pretty well so far! I didn't like the pilot much at all – found it confusing and also boring, but it's also true that I was trying to figure out how to cast on to knit in the round for the first time while I had it on, and I kept screwing up and having to start over, so I wasn't in the best mood or giving it a lot of attention. After that I settled into knitting and purling and the show got funnier. I don't think it'll become one of my favorite shows but it's entertaining. (I'm trying to make a hat. We'll see how that works out.)

Richard Dean Anderson is in it, isn't he? I just found out about that and I so want to watch it now but they have just completed a season here and now I have to wait for the reruns/new season. I love Rick!

No, he was in Stargate: SG1, which I haven't watched, but I think he just has a few guest appearances on SGA, which is the spin-off. I really liked MacGyver when I was a kid. :D

I'm really curious as to how this is going to turn out to! It might not end up fitting me but it will be a learning experience. :)

It is okay, I think! It will just turn out to be a different kind of hat than that pattern. I'm getting toward the end though and it's hard! I just switched from the circular needles to three double-pointed ones and eek!

Good luck with the knitting. I have tried to knit but just can't quite get it. I can crochet till the cows come home but knit? No way.

Hee, my mom only knits and my sister only crochets. Maybe if I got along better with my sister I would be crocheting too. :) For the moment I'm happy with the knitting (but my hands are a little sore).
