I ended up driving most of the way and then walking the last half-mile or so so that I wouldn't feel as guilty. Yum, peanut butter cup blizzard!!

You did the right thing - Frodo would absolutely go for the ice cream with great gusto!! But just like Frodo you got some walking in so all is good.

BTW - that's really a root beer float in Frodo's mug. LOL

An ice cream float, I bet! He and Sam and the cousins probably shared them all the time, post-quest. Need to enjoy that newly-recovered ability to appreciate the taste of good food and drink and so on...

Hobbits don't worry about their weight. They eat a lot.

When my friend adopted a little girl the same age as my little boy, she commented that her daughter ate like a hobbit. That is, she had several breakfasts every day. My son does that too.

Yes, and they probably have less health problems than we do in part because they stress less about their appearance. (That, and because whatever fantasies I have about how the world should be I project on to hobbit society.)

It was yummy. I took a nicer walk on the way back to the car and went through a park, and it was a really beautiful evening. I'm glad I went out!

It was silly of me to even ask, really! Everyone knows that Frodo would have wanted me to be happy, so why angst about it? Also I walked through that lovely park that I'd totally forgotten was there. Hooray for ice cream!
