Lost drabbles

Okay, I think I'm done with the Lost ficlets for now, but that was a lot of fun! Thank you for your help! Here are two single drabbles.

Title: Waiting
Fandom: Lost
Characters: Sun, Vincent :)

A/N: Takes place at the end of season 1. From slightlytookish's prompt, "Vincent, waiting, ocean"


Sun stayed calm when he kissed her goodbye, and she thinks she might have waved and watched the raft sail out of sight with dry eyes and a smile on her face if it hadn't been for Vincent, swimming after them, unwilling to believe they were really leaving him behind.

She talks to him in Korean. "You cannot follow them, the ocean is too big. But you can sit here with me and wait." But Vincent doesn't like to sit still. He runs up and down the beach, boundless energy and endless hope. Sun is glad to walk with him.

A/N: Takes place at the end of season 3. From slightlytookish's prompt, "Hurley, van, hero"


They were supposed to make a roadtrip. One of these days, his dad used to say. And Hurley kept waiting for it, year after year, but by the time his dad came cruising back into his life Hurley was done believing in heroes. "I'm going to Australia," he said. "Alone."

When he charged the van onto the beach he wasn't thinking about getting back to the dad who left him or even the mom who loved him. Yeah, there was another plan to get off the island, but all he cared about right then was keeping his friends alive, together.

These are great! I'm glad you were able to incorporate Sun too. Aw, Vincent angst! And yay for brave, sweet Hurley here - love your icon, too :)

Yup, Vincent is Walt's dog and he swims out after them for the longest time with Walt shouting at him to go back. It's heartbreaking.

I like both of these. Sun's lovely, and I was always intrigued by Vincent. A shame I won't ever find out about him.

And Hurley rocks! I loved that moment--the only really good thing about that last ep except for Dom's acting.

The character I was really hoping to find out more about was Libby. We had that great moment where she appeared in Hurley's flashback, and then a slightly less exciting bit where she interacted with Desmond, but she never got her own episode. :(

Hurley was fantastic in the last episode, but then he always is! Glad you liked these. :D

I love the one about Sun and Vincent. That beautiful dog, trying to swim after them, and Sun, trying to comfort him.

And Hurley was so great in that last episode. What a moment, when he came barreling out in that van.

I really really loved the first one. I remember how upsetting that scene was to me when I saw it and how I cried for Sun...and yeah -- that dog did it for me!

That was such a great scene. I don't like the music in Lost most of the time but it was just great there and all of it so sad, and so very hard to wait for the next season (only to be very disappointed!).
