Are you guys using Buzz? Should I stay away from it because of privacy issues, or because it's a time suck, or what is going on? Should we be following each other? Where does the content go? Is it like Twitter? I am too lazy to figure this out. Please explain!!

In other news, I've recently watched the first three episodes of Psych. Shawn is great! The rest of it I like okay, though not as much as Leverage, which I sort of think of as the same kind of thing – fun to watch without making you think too much, cheesy but smart in its own way, plots that get resolved in an hour, a small fandom but big enough to raise some eyebrows when it was included at last year's Yuletide, etc.

I had heard before I started watching that more Shawn/Lassiter gets written than Shawn/Gus, and while I agree with people who say that's completely ridiculous (and probably evidence of racism) considering how married Shawn and Gus are, I've also been impressed at how slashy Shawn and Lassiter have been despite not interacting all that much. I mean, I don't find Lassiter attractive and I don't usually like enemy pairings anyway, but damn.

I loved this week's episode of House!

My roommate just let me know that they were talking about Battlestar Galactica and Lost on today's episode of the National Public Radio program Speaking of Faith. I haven't listened to it yet and might hold off until I've finished watching BSG, but in general I like the show for thoughtful conversations about religion so I thought I'd pass on the link: TV and Parables of Our Time, so you can listen or download if you're interested. The guest is Diane Winston, a professor of media and religion at USC, and they also talk about and play clips from House and 24.

I think I would write more Lost fic if I ever had any idea what the hell was going on.

Lost has been good lately, don't you think? The Desmond episode a couple weeks ago was all kinds of awesome, between ( vague spoilers for that one and serious show-ruining major spoilers for this last week's episode )

I'm not feeling very well today so I think it's a good day for staying in bed and posting a time-consuming meme. I saw this on the journal of someone I don't know, anneliese.

Last night I came across a new LJ community called fanficofcolor. It's a place to post or go looking for fics about characters of color since they too often get neglected and can be hard to find in other places.

remixthedrabble is running a lightning round in which each participant will get matched up with three others! I loved playing in the first round and would love to sign up for this one as well but I'm a little worried that I'll be difficult for the mod to match. I'm certainly willing to write in a lot of different fandoms, but one has to have written at least three fics (which can include drabbles) in at least three different fandoms. I just barely qualify since I have exactly three ficlets (including one drabble) in the Firefly/Serenity 'verse. And my having a few Faculty ficlets probably won't help her much since I don't really expect any other Faculty writers signing up. :(

I was thinking though that I have two short Lost fics written and, really, how hard would it be to add one more drabble before I sign up? That way I could list four fandoms and maybe that would help. Sign-ups are open until the 18th. I'm not really sure what to do though. I started a Sun vignette a while back but it wasn't really going anywhere. I had an idea for a Naomi ficlet this morning but it's wanting me to fake my way through some British slang, which could be a real disaster!

So! Let's see if you can help me come up with something. I would love to get some Lost drabble prompts in three words each – either one or two of the words can be character names. Maybe if I can confine myself to drabbles I can actually write several of these in the next few days while also finishing that waymeet challengefic omg.
