Hey, everyone! schemingreader wrote a drabble for me! It's a lovely and sad Snape/Lily and there are also two great Snape/Lupin drabbles in the same post, here.

I'm in a really good mood! It was fun posting an LotR ficlet earlier this week and feeling more in touch with my f-list than I have in a while, what with all my recent messing about in small fandoms. I was thinking it would be fun to write some more hobbits and Faculty fic again so last night I signed up for Casey/Zeke Love Month (February 14th-March 14th) that honeyandvinegar, frodosweetstuff, and aina_baggins. Afterwards I panicked a little bit because, dude, I haven't written any C/Z since June! And even when I did it I was never very good at the lovey-dovey. However, this morning I went back to that story I was writing in the spring and added a few hundred words, and I think I will call 1000 words of it a chapter and post. Yay! So maybe I can finish that story in the next week or two and work on a fluffier or pornier sequel for March, or maybe something completely different. Ooh, wouldn't it be lovely to have one less abandoned WIP to feel guilty about! Maybe I am wildly optimistic. Maybe it's because of Barack Obama. :)

I see that a few other people on my f-list also signed up for the lovefest last night and today, but there are still some slots left. Entries could be fics, picspams, essays, poems, icons, anything you want to contribute to the C/Z love.

And of course, sign-ups opened yesterday for the 2008 Frolijah Fic Exchange, being run by baranduin, trianne, and claudia603. I am really looking forward to this one and will send in my request as soon as I can find an appropriate quote or several from the books or movies. This challenge is open for LotR rpf and fpf, gen or any pairing, as long as Frodo or Elijah is the central character. Assignments will be done be done carefully so that everyone should be able to write something they're comfortable with, and you get two months to write 1000 words or more. Doesn't that sound like fun? You can get all the information at this post on the frodochallenges community.

Yay, I'm glad a bunch more people have signed up. I was away from LJ when you posted the announcement and it was probably the same for a lot of people, so I'm glad you mentioned it again yesterday.

Are you also planning to play in the Frolijah exchange?

I probably won't--I've been working on Tahitian, doing my Christmas-fic requests, then I'll be busy with the month there... I might do a lil' something for hekateriness's idea for a Dommie week (http://hekateriness.livejournal.com/200931.html). :) It's a busy, busy time! I was almost tempted to do the orlijah month, but omg...!
So yea... BIZZY!!

Scratch that. If claud can do the Love Month, I can do this. ;)!!

Yayzorz! I hope lots of people will join in. But I am excited there will be a Dommeh week as well. My new lotrips love is Dom/Viggo and I also love me some Dom/Ian.

Ah, this reminds me, I need to do a lotr_fic_recs post. *wanders off*

Believe it or not, I might have actually tried signing up and trying a C/Z (*gasp, shock*) but this month is obviously not good for me at all! :-)) ;D

That really is a surprise for me, but it makes me happy too. Maybe you could just write a ficlet when you have time and post a link at jacked_up. I'm sure a lot of people would really love to read it.

Thanks! Finishing that ficlet for Claudia made me realize there are a lot of half-finished things on my hard drive that I ought to be able to work on some more, though I still hope to keep writing in other fandoms too.

I posted the fifth part of a C/Z story last night, in case you're interested!

And yes, my parents and I are also really excited about Obama! My mom was worried that he wouldn't do well in Iowa and a lot of the people who've gotten involved with his campaign would feel really let down. She continues to fret but I am feeling really hopeful about NH! We're going to a friend's house to watch the results come in tomorrow night.

Oh, I'm sure there are a lot of people who are like me, planning to participate but haven't written out all the details of their sign-ups yet.

I need to go looking through the books for a quote, and there's something I half remember from the FotR cast commentary but I'm not sure where it appears, so I'm thinking I might start a new knitting project and watch the whole thing. :)
