camelotsolstice recs

[livejournal.com profile] camelotsolstice posted the fic written for me on Thursday and then took a break from posting over the weekend to give people a chance to read some more, and I thought, terrific, I will do a recs post while we're taking a breather. However, the weekend got crazy between extended family Christmas stuff and trying to finish my Yuletide fic. I uploaded late last night!!!! And still haven't had a chance to watch the final Merlin episode of the season!

So, anyway, the comm's started posting again but I still wanted to mention these. All are currently anonymous.

-Nor could she ever foresee without fear, Gwen/Morgana, 11,000 words, PG. This has a suspenseful plot about Morgana leaving Camelot. There's interesting magic and all four of the OT4 have important parts to play, sort of team gen fic plus girls in love. It ignores season 2 so I'd especially recommend it for anyone who's been feeling down about not seeing enough Morgana or Gwen/Morgana interaction lately. It made me very happy.

-Through the Dark - This was the gift written for [livejournal.com profile] slightlytookish and has a scenario I've come to love through her squee about it: Merlin and Morgana doing magic together. It's labeled pre-ship but it's sexy because magic is sexy, and so is Morgana with agency!

-Stay, Gwen POV on a short Arthur/Gwen fic, is lovely and quiet and very honest, does a great job communicating just how complicated the relationship is for her (that is, not just a poor girl's dream that a prince will sweep her of her feet!)

-you have a one-track mind like me, "four discoveries that shattered Merlin’s world and one that didn’t, not really, when he thought about it." You know, there are a lot of fics where Merlin lives alone through centuries waiting/trying to find Arthur again, and the emotional part is about them getting together, and that's awesome. This is a fic about Merlin on his own and the things he thinks about. I especially recommend this for people (and I know there are some on my f-list) who kink on knowledge or science, especially astronomy.
