Woot, 11,510 words of Merlin fic in seven days! That's even better than the last week of September when I got my
camelotsolstice assignment, and that was a very good week.
The party at
camelot_fleet this weekend was a lot of fun. I didn't take prompts but other people did so there are fics in comments, and there was a nice discussion thread about kink. This year I intend to write more kinky fics, more porn in general, and also more longer fics. I mean, like, not epics, but more fics of a few thousand words and less drabbles.
camelot_fleet is hosting a Finishathon where everybody describes three or more current WIPs and everybody votes in a poll to decide which one really needs to be finished. I'm a little sad that the actual writing period will only be three weeks (and three weeks that I expect to be busy irl), but I'm excited about this anyway. I'm going to keep working on a few different projects this week and see where I am with everything on Saturday and sign up then.
I just had an idea for how I could do a big Arthur/Gwen/Merlin (including Gwen/Merlin porn yay) for
reel_merlin if that challenge happens again. I hope this works out. Arthur/Gwen/Merlin are my OT3 for this fandom -- see, I have this icon and everything, but I barely ever get to use it because the text is mean.
I have a few new LJ and Dreamwidth friends (or subscribers or whatever!)! *waves*
I'm knitting a cabled scarf! I've never done cables before and it's not nearly as hard as I'd feared. Like, I thought I wouldn't be able to do this and watch movies at the same time, but it's been fine. I guess the one thing I don't like is that you have to use light colors for people to be able to see the cables, and I tend to like to wear dark colors and to buy yarn in dark colors. So I used this cable business as an excuse to buy some more yarn today, but it was cheap yarn so it's okay!
