I had kind of a struggle editing in the music on section breaks and I’m not thrilled with how that turned out, so I have a slight preference for the plain version, but I’m posting them both so you can choose.

Listened last night to the podbook muscial version - SO beautiful! Actually, the use of this particular piece of music throughout the story made me get a little teary at certain parts, so I think it was brilliantly incorporated. Also (highlight for spoilery feedback), ♥ You voice captured the emotion brilliantly. :)

Oh, hooray, I am really glad to hear that about the music. I thought it was really beautiful but I had trouble isolating bits of it and worried that the clips were too long, especially since there were so many section breaks. The thing you mentioned in spoiler text was my favorite part - on the raw recording I get through the end of the section and say "Fuck, that's so beautiful" and then have to go back and say the last couple sentences again. :P

Okay, seriously, you've just made me the happiest person in the universe :D ♥ ♥ I saw this yesterday just before leaving for uni and I tell you, I walked around with a huge grin for the rest of the day that stayed glued to my face even when my Irish tutor imposed yet another unannounced vocabulary test on us! Hee, I suppose you don't think it's that big of a deal, but I still just can't compute that you've done this—recorded podfic of something I've written—and I kept failing around uselessly while listening and having to pause the mp3 in order to compose myself again. Once more, thank you so so so so much for this!! ♥♥

I absolutely LOVE your voice, and your tone, and your accent, and your way of segmenting my too long sentences into something that the listener can follow so easily. And the way you read the dialogue and clearly distinguish it from the rest of the text! I don't think that's easy at all—I tried to record podfic once before, but failed on account of my accent xD—and I really admire how well you've done it! ♥ The music fits so well, too, to the extent that I wonder if you're secretly a mind reader, because 'River Flows In You' was actually one of the songs on my writing playlist for this :D ♥ Like I said, I loved your tone all the way through, but somehow my favorite parts were the one about being under siege, and the one about how Merlin possibly would have ignored instructions, and the "Forgot your waterskin?"—your tone was simply perfect there, it was just like I'd imagined it! The aggravation in Arthur's lines in the forest was so well done, too *in awe of your reading skills* AND AND AND the conversation in which Arthur says Merlin is getting on his last nerve— I love how you read that!! And the... okay, I should probably shut up, but just one more thing I adored: the second-to-last scene. ♥ It was by far my favorite scene to write, too, and you did it so beautifully! As I mentioned before—your voice was just perfect at all times! ♥

Okay, if you couldn't tell yet by the size of this comment, I love every little thing about the fact that you recorded this and I just want to convey how happy you've made me—thank you so much, again! ♥♥

Oh Dayari, this comment made me so happy I haven't even been able to figure out what to say. I will say that I had to do "Forgot your waterskin" a lot of times to get a reading I was happy with so it is awesome that that worked for you too, and also that the second-to-last scene, omg, I love it so much and that part was not even hard to read, it just felt so right. :)

That is an awesome coincidence about the music! I'd never heard Yiruma's music before but my beta frigg passed on lunchy_munchy's suggestion and it seemed just right for the fic.

I am really happy with how this turned out and that people are listening to it, and knowing you liked it so much really makes me feel great. Thank you so much for this. ♥

You beautifully captured the tone, pacing and emotional impact of this wonderful story. The dialogue was clearly separated from the narrative without ever pulling me out of the story. I loved the piano interludes, too. It was a pleasure to listen to on my walk this afternoon.

Hey, wanted to say that I listened to your recording of this story (the with music version) and found it lovely and exceedingly well-read by you. Your pacing and insight into the characters is top-notch, I found myself clearly picturing the story coming to life as I listened to your words on a long drive today. I liked the story very much as well, it was not one I had read, but one I thought was kind of different from a lot of others I had read, with a real depth of feeling to it but not maudlin. So, thank you! And hope to hear more of your work.
