Treme icons!
I have made some Treme icons! Anyone is welcome to use them! The first set is for the ship Jacques/Janette and the "food" square on my
kink_bingo card, and all the images are from season 1.
I hope that this has enough erotic focus on food even though they're not licking sauce off each other or anything. I wanted really badly for Jacques and Janette to get together and almost every episode in season 1 had at least one moment where I'd think, "THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE PART WHERE HE'S GOING TO CONFESS THAT HE'S ALWAYS BEEN IN LOVE WITH HER" and that never happened. Several of those moments appear in these icons, especially numbers 11, 18 (OMG THE WAY HE MOVES HE RAISES AND THEN LOWERS HIS HAND AND CLEARS HIS THROAT), AND 21. On the other hand, they do have this beautiful relationship that's all about professionalism and food. I love the way she calls out orders and he repeats them, and the way he calls her "chef." He admires her creativity and her determination, and Janette loves Jacques for his talent and his trustworthiness. He's always someone she can count on, even when he's not able to work for her anymore because she can't afford to pay him. ♥ ♥ ♥
Highlight to read spoilers for season 2: Season 2 has mostly not been fun for Jacques fans, as Janette's been off having adventures in New York, but then Janette got a call from New Orleans saying that Jacques was in trouble, and when she asked for time off her dreamy new boss Eric Ripert said, "Friends, lovers, marriage...they come and go. But your sous chef, that's a lifelong relationship. Go." IT WAS AMAZING YOU GUYS. And then she went to New Orleans to see him and then there was nothing about that story the following week, idek. (I haven't watched the most recent episode yet.)
So anyway here are some icons!
Then while I was making those I realized it would be fun to make some other Treme icons of beautiful people (especially Annie) in their Carnival outfits. I have loved both the Mardi Gras episodes for the sense in them that we're leaving our normal lives behind and anything could happen, and indeed several characters who don't normally have anything to do with each other end up hooking up in those episodes. Plus there was all that stuff with the guys with masks and whips at the thing Annie went to this year. The outfits are very much a part of that feeling but I didn't have "dressup" on my card so I'm using this to fill the center wildcard square.
And then here are a few more random Treme icons!
