Merlin 4x11
I liked this episode, but then I like most episodes of Merlin. I love my show! I don't know why I never do episode reactions. Here were some things I liked about this episode:
-Arthur was trying very hard to be a good king and a grownup. Those are generally the times when I like him best. That and when he's being a dork around pretty girls, so win win. He asked Merlin for his advice and thanked him. (I also thought it was hot when he threatened to exile Merlin. I'm sorry.)
-Mithian was a very likeable character, though I guess a little boring compared to Vivian or Elena. (I wonder if she will get to do fun things in fanworks like they do or if she will mostly get used as a prop the way Sophia does.) I enjoyed the scenes she was in. I especially loved the part where she confronted Merlin and was honest with him about knowing how important he was to Arthur, and wanting him to give her a chance. Except I was a little confused because when she said "you're not a fan of me" (or something like that) I thought, following up on the theme of hunting, that she'd said "you're not a fan of meat" and the way Merlin was staring at her me made me think they were going to have a really intense conversation about vegetarianism.

slightlytookish pointed out that they've had her dressed mostly in pastels lately but she looks good in those bright season 1 colors - and it was neat that Morgana recognized that dress. Then she looked really hot in her captive outfit, though I don't know what to think about the whole southrons thing.
-I'm pretty sure the black guest character didn't die!
-Merlin helping Gwen when she was hurt, saving her and hugging her and wanting her to come back to Camelot, and defending her to Arthur. <3 <3
Here are some things that make me sad:
-Gwen was not in Ealdor (I did not actually expect her to be, nor did I expect to get to see Hunith, but gosh I would have loved that).
-Gwen still thinks she betrayed Arthur.
-Morgana, and Gwen and Morgana. :( :(

LOL. I had the exact opposite reaction and I love that so much. I love when you say stuff like this and it reminds me that mine reaction is only one of a million. It makes me feel better about liking whump!Gwen as much as I do. And oh, do I love whump!Gwen soooooooo much.
