There are only three LotR fics in the challenge this year, including the gorgeous Never Lost, Not Really (The Finding His Way Remix), inspired my my Pippin/Diamond fic "He Came to Meet Me". I hope you will check out this and other stories. It is easy to find fics in your favorite fandoms because they are all conveniently tagged!

About myself I shall be mysterious and just say that I wrote in an Other Fandom. I don't expect many people will read it but my mixee has read and left a lovely comment so that makes me feel really good.

(And I wish my landlords would not vacuum downstairs at this time of night.)

I need to read more of them omg. I read mine and I don't know what to say! (Other than I do like it and I would like to thank my remixer, but it feels weird giving feedback when I don't know who the person actually is! I am sure she won't mind if I semi-comment and then come back after the reveal? I will be more comfortable saying things then!)

And I started to read it and I thought it was really good but now I am so tired I don't feel like reading so maybe I will get to it and fb tomorrow.

And that reminds me I also need to leave more feedback for the one you wrote, before the reveal happens.

The one I wrote got its second comment today and that was nice, though really it was all about that first one.

This morning I sort of um, feel bad about some things and don't want to write fanfic anymore. And at the same time I want to write something awesome that will make everyone love me. And of course I want not to care about the thing that's bothering me.

I should try to finish the smutfic! That would make me feel better, right?

You should, um, email me when things make you feel bad, so maybe I would be able to tell you something that would help you feel better. (Also, I think a lot of what you write is awesome, so! ♥) you should, um, still email me about it, because I'm your friend omg and would like to know what has made you feel bad.

On the other hand, I know what you mean, wanting to write something so awesome that everyone will just love you. I want to do that too. (Then I keep on writing about minor and original characters, ha.) I like doing that, so. So.

That is probably true, but I have been fiddling with my Charlie fic instead, putting in a bunch of references to Beatles songs that I don't actually know and that most people probably won't recognize even if they do read it and am I being pretentious or just boring? And besides that it is already irrelevant because of this crazy changing canon. How do Lost fic writers deal with this? Do they finish all their fics in less than a week?

I do not know, and you seem to be being very hard on yourself right now, and I wish that you wouldn't. *hugs* As for Lost fic, well, I don't watch the show, and I don't follow the fandom, but given that the canon is alive and active, that the show is ongoing... I guess people just deal with canon fic being made with non-canon the next time an episode shows? Or just write what inspires them, no matter what the canon might say. You might not have all your answers, anyhow.

I don't know. I want you to be happy. I am going to go pass out and hopefully get a lot of sleep, because I really need it.

I did not mean to be so hard on myself I was just, you know, a little frustrated but as I said I ended up having a pretty nice day.

Today I omg NEED to be working on another one of my papers but instead I am rewriting my Charlie fic (and, well, more than that, refreshing my inbox and f-list and sitting around sulking). I thought I had it finished yesterday and I sent it to beta and everything and then realized it was completely AU and the new less AU version is goodness a lot darker and probably even less appealing to my f-list. Oh well!
