Firefly squee: a poll

Okay, I promise that any and all future Firefly posts of more than two lines will go under a cut. This one has to be above so the anti-Firefly contingent will notice and vote.

Right, so I'm currently halfway through gamerchick's DVDs, am filled with much love for almost all the characters, not to mention the writers, and I feel like telling the world. I wouldn't be watching the show if I hadn't so enjoyed watching Serenity last month, and I wouldn't have gone to see the movie if it weren't for the enthusiasm of several people on my f-list. A few of you have even written Firefly fic yourselves, and I'm very much looking forward to reading your stories once I finish watching the DVDs. However, a little bird told me that not everyone in "The Fandom" (um, let's say, the one with the hobbits) is as delighted with the Firefly-Serenity squee.

Rest assured, I will not be abandoning Frodo and co. But if I do want to say something about the hotness of Mal, the OTP-ness of Kaylee/Inara, or the MarySue-ness of River, how would you prefer that I proceed?

I love Firefly and the characters, so I have no problem, although LotRs, hobbits and Elijah in all his incarnations are still my true loves.
