Oh hey, I was just tagging the post for my new bingo at

kink_bingo and I started to wonder if I could count it for the rare ship/rare characters Achievement. The rules say, "You define what is or is not a rare ship/rare character; this, like so much at Kink Bingo, is on the honour system."

Ahhh, I don't know! Will you help me decide? I feel pretty secure that Inara/Zoe from Firefly is a rare pairing and Annie from Treme is a rare character in fandom. If I were looking at the other squares I've filled so far I would also count Merlin/Will, Gwen/Lancelot, Freya/Merlin, and Freya/Morgana.

But what about Gwen/Morgana? It used to be a relatively popular pairing but it's never really been big compared to Arthur/Merlin, and there isn't much at all being written these days. Then there is Gus and Shawn, who are the main characters on Psych but don't actually get written about that much. And I just don't know much about Avatar fandom. Also, do you think the medium should matter? The Audiofic archive has one Azula/Ty Lee podfic and five Gus Shawn ones (two of them by me, all of them shorter than the one I posted yesterday). Gwen/Morgana poetry is certainly rare, but then any fannish poetry is rare, so, I don't know!

My neck hurts! It's been been hurting since Sunday! It moves around my upper back and my shoulders, but it always hurts! Sometimes it hurts more when I turn my head or shrug my shoulders or when I eat. I went to bed early last night and slept close to ten hours, and today was just as bad!

Okay, I promise that any and all future Firefly posts of more than two lines will go under a cut. This one has to be above so the anti-Firefly contingent will notice and vote.

Right, so I'm currently halfway through

gamerchick's DVDs, am filled with much love for almost all the characters, not to mention the writers, and I feel like telling the world. I wouldn't be watching the show if I hadn't so enjoyed watching Serenity last month, and I wouldn't have gone to see the movie if it weren't for the enthusiasm of several people on my f-list. A few of you have even written Firefly fic yourselves, and I'm very much looking forward to reading your stories once I finish watching the DVDs. However, a little bird told me that not everyone in "The Fandom" (um, let's say, the one with the hobbits) is as delighted with the Firefly-Serenity squee.

Rest assured, I will not be abandoning Frodo and co. But if I do want to say something about the hotness of Mal, the OTP-ness of Kaylee/Inara, or the MarySue-ness of River, how would you prefer that I proceed?

She might write a paper about it or might not. Answers are confidential.
