I think I'm going to sign up for Yuletide after all. I think I can manage to balance it with the RL stuff (as long as I can stay away from that darn wiki). I mean, last year I wrote three extra stories in the last two or three days. Surely I can handle one assignment. Everyone will be a little rushed this year and it'll all work out. And receiving something will make my holiday so much more fun.

ETA I just wrote my Halloween Faculty drabble last night and it was fun, as well as reassuring to know that it is still possible for me to write fanfic, even if only in little bits and pieces. I also have my assignments for remixthedrabble due by November 15th. /ETA

Also, I intend to run a 5K race sometime in the spring. Not, you know, in a competitive way, but just to run it. My coach claudia603 has known about this plan for a few weeks already but I thought I'd announce it to the world to give myself some extra pressure to keep working at it.

Thank you, Shirebound! I just got done timing myself for a mile and I did it in just over 11 minutes, which means I have a lot of room to improve but omg when I was in grade school and junior high that would have been so far out of reach. I am so happy about the progress I've made just in the last two months. :)
