Claudia and I both really loved the Star Trek movie despite not being Real Fans. Turns out she is a Kirk girl and I am a Spock girl so luckily we will not be in competition with each other. (And of course we are also both slashers so, honestly, we're okay with just sitting here and watching.)

Someone told me you can watch all of them at cbs.com so I'm totally planning to give that a try once I get home (and while I'm waiting for Netflix to deliver the next Battlestar Galactica disc).

Spock is so great. I'm kind of shocked at Claudia for liking Kirk so much when he was so obnoxious, at least in this version.

I hope you end up liking the movie. It is, you know, not meant to be taken seriously and we had a lot of fun with it.

I will write about them if I watch omg. I'm pretty sure I will continue to be a Spock girl although it's true I switched allegiances a couple years in to Supernatural.

Seconding the OMGRUSIRIUS???!!!11 about watching TOS. It's great cheesy fun.

Also seconding the Spock fangurling. I've always loved him, but yeah. . .the inherent hotness was just overwhelming in the movie.

I've seen bits of TNG and DS9 and Voyager because they were all on when I was young and watching lots of TV but yeah, I ought to go back and check out TOS for my cultural education (but I would rather be watching BSG or the new movie).

Also I ought to get a Spock icon.
