I listened to this some time ago, but never came back and told you how much I enjoyed it! I don't listen to or read a lot of Merlin fic (I think this is the second non-Kink Bingo-related Merlin podfic I've ever downloaded?) but I was motivated to listen to this one because I love your voice and, hey, femslash! :) I thought your Gwen voice was fabulous, and I really loved both her and Morgana getting to be snarky and sarcastic and fun.

Ah, thank you, friend. I think with the gentle critique of the way the first season went this fic appeals to a lot of people who don't normally love Merlin fic as well as, you know, those of us who do. :D I think modern AUs are even less you kind of thing than canon era ones, but if you ever feel like listening to another long Gwen/Morgana AU, I'm quite proud of The Universal Language. :)

So! I have had this file on my desktop to remind me to come back here and let you know when I listened. I think this is the longest English podfic I've ever listened to, actually. (I was into Spanish and German podfic for awhile, mainly because I wanted to expose my ears more.) This was awesome! I love your echoey dragon voice, hee. My pleasure! I'm glad the song suggestion ended up working. It's one emei recommended to me not long ago, with a bunch of other great women-positive songs.

I loved the final. It's smooth to listen to, I can't even hear where you made the edits despite knowing where they are. The end "find more at" sentences worked in well, too.

Thanks for the fb! I really like the idea of adding the "find more at" at the end, although strangely enough I haven't done it on most of the other things I've recorded since then. I guess because I thought it would get tiresome in the collection with 7 different fics, and the one I posted last night was my own story so I felt weirder about pointing people back to my journal.

netgirl_y2k said on her journal that she thought the song was perfect. I think besides the lyrics that kind of fun bouncy tone of it goes really well with humor of the story that's still got some good meta and feminist action underneath. I'm so glad you suggested it.

I had so much fun listening to this today while I made risotto and put away laundry (...risotto takes a long time to make. And okay, I had been putting off putting away laundry). This is a delightful story and I love how your performance brings out the humour and the longsuffering-ness and the snarkiness. And the sweetness. Basically, ALL the emotions. Your dragon voice is great too. I'm kicking myself for not having listened to this sooner and I am definitely planning on listening again :DDD
