kink-bingo progress report

This morning I saw that somebody posted to kink_bingo with an HTML table and I thought, "They're ignoring the posting template and mods are going to come tell them they need content notes," but I also thought, "Ooh, I want an HTML table!" so I went and got some.

Here is my first card, the one I got back in June, colored in blue for fic and green for podfic. Maybe someday I will add links to the fills, but for now they are all on my kink_bingo tag.

Just five left to get a blackout! When I realized that yesterday I was so excited that I considered canceling my camelot_fleet Finishathon plans (to finish a long shippy gen fic) and thought I should just concentrate on finishing these five squares. Then I talked to a friend who pointed out that Finishathon is good motivation for those extra projects that aren't going to get done otherwise, whereas k-b has its own deadline (is it May 15 like it was last year? I think so) so I might as well let that deadline work for itself. I will work on the long fic and that will be good both for me and for some readers who prefer PG fic. I do worry I'm a little over-committed, between this and finishathon and podficbigbang and chromatic_podfic (and, you know, real life) but at least none of them are gifts or exchanges, so if they don't work out I will still be okay.

So anyway!

bites/bruises I have over 4000 words of Arthur/Merlin for this but I kind of hate what I've written. I don't know how anyone manages to write Arthur/Merlin without tearing their hair out over the zillions of other Arthur/Merlin fics already out there doing the same thing.

piercings/needleplay I have written 1000 words off a Morgana/Morgause modern AU idea that woldy gave me, but it's gotten kind of mucked up with family history and angst and I haven't gotten close to the piercing part, which I'm nervous to write anyway. Still, this would fit with the January mini-challenge so it would be really good if I could finish it this week! I resolve to add 500 words to it today.

sleepy/unconscious IDK you'd think this would be easy but I just don't have any ideas. :(

historical roleplay I have a couple vague Merlin ideas but nothing awesome. I tried writing some Gwen/Morgana backpacking AU but they started fighting about racism and it was really not sexy.

waxplay I think I found a fic last night that I'd like to podfic, so that should be pretty easy, as long as the author (someone I don't know) is okay with it.

So let me know if you have any ideas for sleepiness or historical roleplay! I should maybe try thinking outside the box and writing in a fandom other than Merlin, or doing something other than fic or podfic.

Since I'd made a bingo before the deadline in August I asked for a second card, just to have some extra prompts to work with. I haven't really been going for bingos there but it looks like I'm close to a second one.

A few snatched hours between [work/spy missions/battles], both exhausted but determined to have sex while they can.

X was expecting Y to be cuddly while asleep, not horny. Instead X has to deal with being molested by their sleeping partner, which is difficult to ignore because X kind of enjoys it.

Overly competitive relationship leads to "I can stay awake longer" leads to getting themselves/each other off in an attempt to stay awake themselves/exhaust the other person into unconsciousness.

Winter is cold and the best time of day is before they have to get out of the blankets. Early morning sex (or late night!), cozy, huddled in blankets and still half-asleep.

X always seems to end up working late, but someone at home insists on being woken up for sex when they get home, even if it's after midnight.

Now for variety I will try to match your prompts with characters not from Merlin!

(I don't actually like this pairing very much but they would totally do this. Maybe Buffy/Faith?)

Oooh, just five squares from a blackout! Hmmm, for historical roleplay, could you do Morgana or Gwen roleplaying something like Roman Britain and Caledonia/Scotland?

Seeing the card laid out like that almost fully coloured is impressive!

Sleepy/unconscious ideas, though I admit I haven't revised yet what this category implies so some might be unfit:

- Arthur is Once and Future. This is not his time yet. What's [character] to do when they got to keep an eye on this fully functional body that's been sleeping for the past 500 years?
( And same, but enthusiastic consent version: Arthur's spirit can talk to this person, it simply cannot go back into his body (or not for long anyway). He dirty-talks and taunts [character] with what he wants them to do with his warm & defenceless body.) This prompt could be done the same with Merlin in limbo in a tree, or any character for that matter.

- Angst-ridden character can only have sex with the other if they sleep/pretend to sleep.

- Two partners of a triad or quad have already started in earlier in the night. The other partner(s) come in and find at least one of them exhausted and barely awake, yet willing to give it their best to satisfy the newcomer anyway.

- One participants sometimes blacks out shortly during sex. They've talked about it and agreed that the other should just go right on.

- One of the participants is too tight, too wound up or difficulty not freaking out during certain acts. Yet, they are annoyed at their own reactions and really want to be able to try doing it anyway. They exhaust themselves or take calming drugs to force themselves to get into the relevant state of loose and relaxed.

- [character A] gets off on how [character B] looks like when they are sleeping.

I can't think of anything for the historical roleplay right now, sorry. Good luck with all of these!

These are wonderful ideas, thank you! I think my favorites are the enthusiastic consent version of Sleeping Arthur, the person who always blacks out, the person who drugs themself. I think it would be neat (in a dirty kind of way) if Arthur's spirit were there to watch and listen and talk but couldn't actually feel anything, so he'd be watching Merlin or whoever doing things to his body and getting off on it in his own spiritual way but only Merlin would be having any physical feeling. Then again it would also be hot if Arthur came in his sleep. So many possibilities! I like Mad's too, and slightlytookish and I were discussing some Morgana/Aglain over on the LJ side.
