I think there are often embedding issues on Dreamwidth, but thank you for that. I'm not sure whether I'd heard it before but I like TMBG and I liked that one a lot.

Much as I like John Watson, I haven't even seen Kalinda in action and know that she's way, way, way more awesome.

I'm actually pretty sure I started watching both Community and The Good Wife after last year's FMM. There was this gif of Kalinda walking through a parking garage with a baseball bat and I was like "I'M THERE."

I enjoy watching Sherlock and I think Martin Freeman does a great job, but I do not love that version of the character of Watson. I understand why others do, but my answer is still KALINDA.

It took me a while to really fall for her, but oh God Kalinda in the second half of season two.

oh man I have never seen The Good Wife but because you and all my other peeps talk all the time about Kalinda I have been voting for her all the way through! I REALLY hope she wins this round, omg.

Thank you for your support, buddy. Kalinda is a pretty amazing self-made queer woman of color and I love her a lot, but it looks doubtful that she will make it through this round. I don't really see anyone else in the drama category beating out Watson either, but we shall see.

I just signed up for remix after having gone back and forward on it all week. But what the hell, I just finished a fic tonight and I'm feeling pretty good about fandom.

The whole march madness is one of those things that goes a wee bit over my head, but I do enjoy seeing all the character love on my f-list. Plus, the wee look-see I took just now shows me that two of my favourite women (Donna Noble & Sansa Stark) are winning their categories, so hurrah!

I am glad you decided to go for it in the end! If I get assigned to you I promise I will not remix one of your non-Arthur/Merlin fics into an Arthur/Merlin fic like people seem to keep thinking is what they should do.

I initially voted for Sansa just because I remembered you mentioning her name a few times. Turns out she's got the most militant stans in the game and I am pretty scared about what will happen if she goes up against Donna in a couple more rounds, which I think she's likely to do.

Oh, that happened to me last year. And while I genuinely, honestly believe that remixes aren't for the original author, I did spend an inordinate amount of time staring at the comment box trying to think of something nice to say. I think I ended up with the world's blandest and most generic thank you for remixing me comment ever. I think I was more irked because from what they'd written I got the distinct impression that they'd gone into remix having already decided to write A/M and sort of shoe-horned it in. Just an unfortunate matchup, I guess. I feel better about this year because I'm going in already much more excited about the writing than the receiving.

The thing with Sansa, I think, is that for a long time she was a horrifically bashed character (she's thirteen years old when canon begins and people were already rooting for her to be raped; it's almost enough to make me remember the character bashing in Merlin with nostalgia) so people started defending her and went way too far in the opposite direction.

I admit that the last time I signed up for Remix Redux I told a friend that no matter who I got assigned to or what their fic was about I was going to write Gwen fic. But I was mostly joking!! I do a lot of pimping for remixes but it does seem awfully silly to sign up if you're not going to be flexible about pairings.
