Remix!

The authors' names have been revealed at [livejournal.com profile] lotrips_remix. Whoo! Some of the ones I've read are quite wonderful and I hope some more people will read them. I want to read a few more today before I go out of town (and away from my computer - sad!) for the weekend.

Also, we're asking for remix recs at [livejournal.com profile] lotr_fic_recs this week and next. There are a ton of awesome lotr and lotrips remix fics out there and so far only two of them have been recced. (Thank you, Bunnie!) I put a lot of links in the post to various challenges, so it shouldn't be hard to find one or two of your favorites and tell us about it. Think of the newbies! :D

Now, here is a weird thing, [livejournal.com profile] lotr_fic_recs crossposts to GreatestJournal and InsaneJournal, but I can't seem to figure out how to post to the community at GJ. I read the FAQ and it says to use the regular update page:
Scroll down until you see the text “Post to:”. "There will be a dropdown box with a list of all journals you have the ability to post in. The first (default) option is always your journal.
However, there is no "post to" text on my update page at GJ. There is no option to post anywhere other than at my own journal. This despite the fact that I'm a maintainer and member of the comm and, according to the community management page, am supposed to have posting access. Does anyone know what's up with this?

I just checked my GJ, and I do have the post to: dropdown box on my update page. It's to the left of the Update Journal/Spell Check/Preview buttons. So I don't really know what to think about yours... :\ Maybe your browser is being stupid? I use Firefox, if that helps... *shrugs*

LOL! I'm glad it's working -almost everything I deal with at work somehow involves the browser, so trying a different one is one of the first things I suggest in troubleshooting. :) I wonder... do you have the AdBlocker extension installed in Firefox? If you do, it's possible that's blocking the dropdown (not sure why it would be, but it's possible) -I had that problem with an embedded media player on a different site. Just a random idea.

Ah, well, it was worth a shot! :) That's going to bug me now... wonder what could make it do that? At least it won't be a problem often.
