I wrote my third and final drabble assignment for remixthedrabble today, though I'll probably end up doing a couple pinch hits next week. It felt good to get that done. I've posted 40 drabble remixes in the last three days, and there are still some more in the inbox. I'm trying to spread it out in manageable chunks so I don't injure my copying and pasting fingers. :) Have been tagging on Delicious as I go along so once we make the fics public we'll be able to post the Delicious listings along with our own index posts. Last round I didn't get the Delicious tags done until like two days after all the fics went up so they weren't really helpful to people but I'm hoping this time they'll actually be helpful to us as mods rather than an afterthought.

We're planning to spread the posting out over a week or so and group things by fandom, and today I've been thinking about how to group the fandoms. Like obviously Doctor Who and Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures should go together, and so should most of those Canadian shows, and Jossverse shows. But should Battlestar Galactica go along with the Canadian shows ('cause I guess one of the actors is also one of the main C6D guys?) or should it go on the same day as Star Trek and Star Wars? Should Firefly go with Buffy and Angel or with the other space shows? Should Merlin go along with Doctor Who on a BBC day or should it go with HP and LotR on fantasy day? These are my fascinating internal debates.

I wonder how many drabbles we'll end up with! I think at least 150 but I wonder how much higher it'll go. The deadline is Wednesday night and as it happens I'll have a ton of rl work on Monday and Tuesday as well. Thank goodness I have co-mods.

Meanwhile, I've been feeling a little glum about fandom and my place in it, but I guess I won't go into that because, eh, what are you gonna do? Keep writing, keep posting, etc.

I'm excited that aliensouldream is going to try taking over Tweaked Fiction, the old Faculty fic archive, something I tried and failed to do a year and a half ago. Also I wrote a Faculty drabble-and-a-half this evening. I'll post here when I get through my 20 points at writing_game or when a new game goes up.

baranduin, melusinahp, and others who get annoyed by excessive use of present tense in fic, you might enjoy reading this.

I'm two episodes in to the second season of Battlestar Galactica! I love it so much. I...find I don't have much else to say. I think it must be really hard to write fic for this show, especially when it was going on and you were still finding out things about the characters (as with early seasons of Lost) but also because (unlike Lost in my experience) you trust the writers and their way of revealing things when the time is right. Even if it hurts! I don't know, I'd just be afraid to interfere. Watching it though is fantastic. I think I'm going to watch one more episode tonight and then watch a fourth tomorrow afternoon and get the Netflix disc in the mail again before the post office closes. :)

Yeah, actually we had a nice walk around my neighborhood and then we went out to dinner with M. And like we were actually finished eating and just chatting some more, and that's when I got the phone call from the principal but at least it was at the end of the visit so that I didn't feel all moody the rest of the time omg!

Yay, I am glad you've enjoyed. Did you see iamsab's remixmeta? Last round we needed a ton of pinch hits and I expect it'll be the same this time, so you'll be hearing from me on Thursday. :) I think I'm just going to send out e-mails to the whole list except for the remixee, and whoever answers first will be designated remixer like at Yuletide. I guess I ought to, um, make up a list though.

Yay for BSG. That show is just amazing. I still watch it just amazed and totally absorbed. But it is drawing to a close! Baranduin and I have only a few more episodes in part one of the last season. *is sad*

I will be sad when I finish watching too. With some shows I'm eager to get through the canon so I can start playing around in the fandom, but for this one I am mostly just interested in the show. It is so damn good.
