Good luck to my friends who are finishing up your Yuletide and other fest fics this weekend! Let me know if I can help you by betaing or talking through some ideas.

I dropped out of the one holiday fest I was in and I'm feeling guilty and sad and at loose ends. I'd like to try writing some drabbles to break out of my not-writing inertia. I would love some drabble prompts in any fandoms I know, especially of the short kind that have three words, one or two of which can be character names (ex. "Gwen Freya burn"), or else five thingses.

(I know that I didn't finish most of the prompts people gave me last time I did this and that there are thousands of requests at Yuletide and other places that I could be working on. Just, um.)

Other things I would appreciate:
-ideas for what to do with the "humiliation (in public)" and "piercings/needleplay" squares on my kink_bingo card (suggestions of podficcable stories would be great)
-a heads up (could be an anon comment) if/when the merlinfemfest entry made for me gets posted, so I'll know to thank the creator even if it's posted "for the community"
-recs from merlinfemfest, merlin_holidays, eventually camelotsolstice, and other fests

They've asked for pinch-hitters at camelotsolstice, so you could volunteer over there if you're feeling keen. I could see that being pretty stressful, though.

I'll think about whether I know any podficcable stories for your kink_bingo squares, but I'm also going to cheat and leave you a prompt for Morgana/Morgause needleplay because I've been craving that kink recently.

Nah, I am not feeling at all keen to take on another deadline, especially since I didn't have a very good experience with pinch hitting for solstice last year. I hope it works out for them though.

Fic bunnies are definitely welcome, even though podiccing has been easier for me lately. Tell me more about your needleplay idea?

I could see at least 2 directions for the needleplay: 1) contemporary AU with alternative!Morgause and Morgana as the younger sister who's trying to act as old & cool, and so they do the piercings at home; or 2) any era with play piercings, with or without magic (with magic it could be a great test of your control in levitating objects; without maybe as an exercise in trust, or Morgana showing she's willing to withstand pain to go through with their plan).

Personally I find the idea of play piercings hotter, because you can arrange them for visual appeal in combination, put them in areas of skin where a piercing wouldn't stay longterm, and because there's the whole pain-play aspect. Plus I saw a play piercing scene with two very hot ladies at a lesbian BDSM night years ago, and still vividly remember the neat line of horizontal needles and trickle of blood. I suppose part of the appeal is the crazy amount of trust involved - trust from the person being pierced, but also the piercer trusting themself because you could so easily transmit diseases if you were careless.

Ooh, I actually really like the modern AU idea. It's extra 'cesty, not just for the pairing but the way it's bringing this kinky thing into their domestic space, plus I can just see Morgana being all sullen and insecure teenager about it. I think the play piercing would be harder for me to get at because in general painplay is not my favorite (I thought genital torture would be the hardest square for me so I was really excited when I found a fic I could record for it last month!), but I will reread the kink_wiki entry and think about it. Thank you!

Also, I've checked my recs history. I haven't encountered any piercing fics, but broadly related to public humiliation there's Inappropriate Behaviour for the Workplace (Pansy/Hermione, NC-17), The Contest (Harry/Ron, NC-17), and Five things Colin learns while filming Merlin (Bradley/Colin, PG-13).

And it doesn't fit for either of these prompts, but I could see The Boy Who Lived (gen, PG-13) being a fantastic podfic, because it's such a powerful, thought-provoking story. Delphi is a very talented author who has written some stunning kink fic, so it might be worth looking over her work more generally.
