Now let's have a meme! This is not the fic year in review meme yet because I still hope to write more fic. :) I saw this on

cereta's journal.

Your main fandom of the year?
Still Merlin. I've been sad to see some of my friends leaving the fandom even though I get that they have good reasons.

Your favorite film watched this year?
Not sure, maybe the new Harry Potter movie. Alice in Wonderland and Inception were both movies that I watched twice in the theater and I was really impressed by in some ways but frustrated in others.

Your favorite book read this year?
I didn't read a lot of books this year, but two that I thought were really great were The City and the City by China Miéville and Eating Animals by Jonathan Saffran Foer.

Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
I listened to a lot of Vienna Teng this year, but I didn't really listen to Inland Territory as a whole album the way I used to listen to CDs, mostly just played a few songs a lot.

Your favorite TV show of the year?
Merlin, but I also loved Doctor Who and Treme in different ways.

Your favorite [LJ or] DW community of the year?
Still

camelot_fleet, although I haven't been participating as much lately as I did in 2009.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I like podficcing! This is actually a really recent surprise. I started doing it back in the spring but at the time I thought it was a real chore but, I don't know, a service and a way of pimping fics I think are great. But lately I have gotten to like even the process itself, the reading and the editing.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
I am feeling sad about my writing at the moment, especially with having dropped the ball on merlinfemfest and not participating in Yuletide.

Your TV boyfriend of the year?
You know, Merlin is still my favorite TV guy but not really as a boyfriend; I ♥ Arthur a lot though, especially when he's being sweet to Gwen (or to Merlin, though that pretty much only happens in fics these days). Oh and just in the last week or so I've been crushing on Zuko something fierce.

Your TV girlfriend of the year?
Kahlan Amnell.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?
The last two episodes of Doctor Who were pretty amazing!

The most missed of your old fandoms?
I am still in in touch with most of my good friends from LotR fandom, and I'm not especially missing the fic, so I guess I'm okay.

The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
I'm watching the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender and expect to be finished with the series in time for the Lunar New Year exchange at

white_lotus. Cartoons aren't usually my favorite and I didn't fall for the show first thing, but I'm liking it more and more, and the fandom seems to have a lot of great people in it.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
I DO NOT KNOW YOU GUYS. I was just thinking that like, as nice as

kink_bingo has been for my fannish productivity this year, I can't really see that happening again next year because so many of the squares are likely to be repeats and I would like to do something different, but I don't know what I want that to be.
