A note for people writing for me!

Hello, [livejournal.com profile] springtime_gen and [livejournal.com profile] purimgifts writers! I'm sorry for being a little late to post. I've been freaking out a little about having signed up for two challenging challenges at the same time and I had to run away for a bit. I am really looking forward to seeing what you come up with though, and I hope you're feeling good about the assignment you got.

Harry Potter person: You will have noticed that this is not my main fandom. In fact, this is the first time I've signed up specifically for an HP challenge, though I've ended up writing it a couple times in multifandom challenges. I find HP fandom kind of intimidating just because it's so huge, but I figured this could be a good chance to be a little more social in it. I don't think I have much to add to what I said in my request. I like girls (but also boys). I like fairly realistic fic (but also magic). I like different perspectives on the events of canon (but also Harry's perspective). I am pretty easy, really!

Purimgifts person: I had a great time with this challenge last year and I'm excited about doing it again. I requested a bunch of fandoms so I have a lot of things to say, though obviously optional details are optional…

For Lord of the Rings, as you can probably tell if you've looked at my journal, my favorite characters are mostly hobbits; however, I recognize that Frodo is neither female nor Jewish nor persecuted by evil viziers. I could really love an Esther-like story centered on Éowyn or on any of the hobbit lasses left behind in the Shire while the Travellers are away (with Gríma or Lotho as evil vizier omg).

Similarly, for Merlin my favorite characters are Merlin, Gaius, and Gwen, but I'd love to read about Morgana facing an Esther-like dilemma once she becomes more aware of having magic.

For political rpf, I'd prefer not to read Obama slash (Rahm/Barack, for instance) just because, though I'm not usually OTPish, I am about him and Michelle. I love me some political gen though (or, you know, Barack/Michelle) and I like Rahm and Hillary and Nancy Pelosi. Ooh, and Al Franken could be really interesting. Also pundits, especially Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Rachel Maddow. And crossovers involving fictional characters are made of win.

On Doctor Who/Torchwood I like everybody but especially Ten, Martha, Donna, and Toshiko. (Rose and Gwen are cool too.)

Lost…wow, Lost has a whole lot of characters, including a lot of characters I don't like. :/ But as far as women (since I don't think there are any Jews or viziers, though I could be wrong) I'm especially interested in Sun, Libby, Rose, and Naomi, and sometimes Juliet, Shannon, and Penny. (I really dislike Charlotte.)

With HP, as I mentioned above, I'm pretty easy, apart from disliking Draco and most of the Death Eaters.

I love everybody on House! I really do! I love that show! I think I'll watch some tonight, actually.

Crossovers are great. Crack is great. Jewish women are totally awesome. I'm not an especially visual person so please don't stress out about the image part of it, though if that's something you're into then go crazy.

Yay, fic exchanges! Thank you for signing up and for writing for me! I hope you both have a really good time with this.
