How cool was yesterday, f-list?

Not only all the fabulously graphic birthday fics for

lilybaggins but also all the beautiful pics and birthday messages for Elijah made me crazy happy. You'll all have read it already, but why not read it again?

aprilkat's post says why I love that boy and all of you so much.

Also posted yesterday, though I just saw the link to it a few minutes ago, an upbeat essay about fanfic communities and feminism.

schemingreader is a Harry Potter fan, but it all applies. [Edit: Oooh, and another one, on slash! Haven't read it yet but I'm sure it'll be good.]

Oooh, and Zeke/Casey fans who don't keep up with the hobbit fic may have missed
