Earlier today I posted my fic for the waymeet Fabled Fellowship Challenge. The challenge was to use the moral of a fable to tell a story about hobbits. I also used the fable itself (The Labourer and the Nightingale). It is a gen fic about Pippin's interactions with Boromir and Denethor. I struggled with writing this one but it feels good to have it finished and posted. I will pimp myself with what slightlytookish said in her comment because she made me feel like I got just what I was going for with the fic: darkish and melancholy and yet hobbity. \o/ Here is the link:

I am reposting my fic for the Spring 2006 Frodo Fic Exchange (written for ladysunrope) because danachan (the beta and a wonderful friend) told me to. Although it's NC-17, it is mostly about Frodo and Merry talking about the quest, so fans of genfic who can tolerate a certain amount of innuendo are invited to stop reading around the time Merry drags Frodo to the bedroom, and pick up again after the second line across the page.
