Merlin links!

• such_heights is hosting a vidding workshop at camelot_fleet this weekend! She and several other experts will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions. Most of the people involved will probably be Merlin fans but this is open to everyone at every level of skill and experience, including people like me whose experience is "I thought of this song that's kinda shippy and wished someone would make a vid with it." This will be open all weekend and there'll be a follow-up post next weekend for sharing what we came up with.


• After much hue and cry, kinkme_merlin opened up the Project Diversity kink meme on Wednesday, and fans quickly filled it up with eight pages of prompts for pairings and moresomes other than Arthur/Merlin and Bradley/Colin! Go check out the many wonderful ideas, a few of which have already been filled. (My three favorite prompts are on page 3. Hmm, I guess I should go track them.) The same post is now open for prompts in media other than fic. Yay for a chance for awesome Merlin fanartists to shine! This could also be a good way to get ideas to bring over to the Fleet workship! There is also Project Old School for the OTPers who would not have been able to get by for a few weeks with the 1800 unfulfilled Arthur/Merlin prompts already left on the meme. More pr0ns for everybody, hurray! Three cheers for the kinkme_merlin mods!


• Over at the Transfic Mini Fest, hiddenheart wrote a beautiful Guinevere and Merlin fic based on one of my prompts (my prompts are on page 4 go write them pls!!). This is more Arthurian legends than Merlin fic but still very worth reading.


• OMG netgirl_y2k's lgbtfest fic, Like a Fish Needs a Bicycle, "In which Morgana is the gayest person in Camelot, Uther wants a wedding, Arthur tries to be helpful, Gwen's wasted on men and Vivian getting hit by that love spell ruins everything." I haven't commented yet but I love it so much. Snarky brother-sister love! Awkward attempts at seduction! Lesbians in your Arthurian legends! ♥ ♥ ♥


• A bunch of other things I'm forgetting! Yay Merlin fandom even when I'm mad at you! ♥ ♥

Today I'm going to finish a draft of my Remix! I don't even know how many scenes are left, it doesn't matter, I'm just going to keep writing until it's done. !!!!!
